2010 CMA Nominations: The first set of nominees for the 44th Annual CMA Awards were announced moments ago by Justin Moore and Chris Young at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. The balance of the nominations will be announced tomorrow on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America. The winners will be revealed during the CMA Awards telecast airing on ABC-TV Wednesday, Nov. 10 8-11pm ET.

I think we all pretty much agree that chubby babies are just adorable, and we think its cute to count the little fat rolls on their little legs,  but  a 10-month-old baby in China has so many that he’s been dubbed the “Michelin Baby.” The boy, Lei Lei, weighs 44 pounds , which is the size of an average 6 year old. His mother, a very thin, small woman, said her boy just likes to eat.  The mother claims he’s only ever been fed breast milk.  Goodness, he must be attached to her 24/7 to get that heavy.  Can you imagine?  Lei Lei is currently in the hospital to determine if there is a medical explanation for his early obesity. Doctors are thinking maybe its  a thyroid problem or exposure to BPA which has been linked to obesity in infants. Whatever it is, I sure hope there’s a treatable reason for this little guy or he’s going to have a long haul ahead of him.

Seriously, open any fall magazine and you’ll see socks with heels all over the place. They’re being worn with just about any fall shoe you can think of, from platform heels to ankle boots to booties. I’m not sure if I’m cool enough to hop on board this trend train.  How about you?  

Taylor Swift’s new CD, ” Speak Now” won’t be out until late October, but she unveiled the CD cover early!  She looks adorable as always!

The first round of voting is underway for the CMA Awards, with Country Music Association members having to choose the final nominees across all categories. This year’s Top 15 qualified nominees for Entertainer of the Year are, in alphabetical order:

Voter should give consideration not only to recorded performance, but also to the in-person performance, staging, public acceptance, attitude, leadership, and overall contribution to the country music image.” The 44th Annual CMA Awards air November 10.
