No more Paula Abdul on American Idol? Come on… SERIOUSLY?

Paula Abdul’s manager says it does not appear that she will be back on American Idol. He says the singer and judge hadn’t yet received her new contract from Fremantle Media and 19 Entertainment, the production companies behind the show. He says auditions for Season 9 begin August 6th and, if Paula were to be involved in this season, her deal would need to be locked in by then. The manager says, ” I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful.”

I do have one question… if auditions don’t start until August 6th then why has Ryan Secreast been doing his E News reporting LIVE from auditions already? Did someone forget to tell Paula that things have already started or what?

Yeah, she’s a little KOOKY, but the dynamic of the show will be lost without her. Kara is too abrasive to be the only chick on the show.

I VOTE BRING PAULA BACK! AND QUICK!!

Miley Cyrus, as we all know as Hannah Montana, could be set to replace Hannah with a new movie “Wings” which is already getting ready for sequels. Cyrus will star as Laurel, a 15 year-old girl who has always been homeschooled and is now set to go to school for the first time. While trying to adjust to high school, her suspicion that she’s not like other kids is given basis when she sprouts wings and discovers she’s a fairy. “Wings” is an adaption based on Aprilynne Pike’s bestselling young adult novel of the same title.
Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus will serve as executive producer on the film adaption.

There’s A Reason Why Blake Hasn’t Released A Video For His Latest Single

blake

Some country stars love dressing up and being in front of the camera for a photo or video shoot, but not Blake Shelton. He says, “I absolutely hate wardrobe discussions… I want to look a certain way and everybody else has their ideas.” Blake only likes the music performance part of making videos, but he says, “That might be 30 minutes out of a 20-hour day.”

Maybe Blake doesn’t need videos after all. He hasn’t released a clip for his latest single “I’ll Just Hold On,” and it’s already a hit.

What I’m Bringing To The 4th Of July Cookout!

July 1st, 2009 | By Christie Matthews in Uncategorized | No Comments »
I went searching for a yummy cool dessert to bring to my family’s 4th of July cookout this weekend and found this one on the Kraft website.  It’s got all my favorite things… Nutter Butter cookies, chocolate, cream cheese and cool whip. How can that be bad?  Wish me luck… if you want to give it a try… I’m posting the recipe. If you are looking for other “no bake” desserts check out www.kraft.com

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ribbon Dessert
12 NUTTER BUTTER Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies, divided
2 Tbsp.  butter, melted
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup  creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp.  vanilla
1 tub (12 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
2 squares  BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

Make It!

CRUSH 8 of the cookies in resealable plastic bag with rolling pin. Mix cookie crumbs and butter. Press onto bottom of foil-lined 9×5-inch loaf pan.

MIX cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in 3 cups of the whipped topping. Spoon 1/2 cup of the cream cheese mixture into small bowl. Stir in melted chocolate until well blended; set aside. Spoon half of the remaining cream cheese mixture over crust. Top evenly with chocolate mixture; cover with remaining cream cheese mixture.

FREEZE 4 hours or overnight until firm. Invert onto plate. Remove foil, then re-invert onto serving platter so that crumb layer is on bottom. Coarsely break the remaining 4 cookies. Top dessert with remaining whipping topping and cookies.
